Garden centers and plant nurseries sell annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, vegetables and houseplants, along with soil, mulch, fertilizer, pots and tools. Independent nurseries often grow part of their own stock and carry varieties that do well in the local climate, while big-box garden departments compete on price for common plants. Wholesale nurseries and growers sell to landscapers and sometimes to the public at volume prices; tree nurseries sell balled-and-burlapped and container trees and can deliver and plant large specimens. Specialty growers focus on bonsai, cactus and succulents, orchids or native plants, and hydroponics stores sell lights, nutrients and systems for growing indoors.

Lancaster is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Lancaster follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Iβm not sure this business is still open or if the hours are accurate? Attempted to stop by because Fox Farm lists them as an authorized seller, but found the door locked. Location appeared dark and wasnβt clearly still in operation.

Ben was very knowledgeable and helpful. He educated us on hydroponics, growing sprouts and the benefits of dirt when growing microgreens. He informed us that there were many more, and flavorful choices besides broccoli and alfalfa. He recommended a local seed store that sells some seeds in bulk and I purchased some fruit seeds, in addition, to try. His prices were very reasonable and he had everything we needed to get started. Can't wait to try cantaloupe microgreens!

They definitely know their stuff, and prices are on point. Will support over amazon any day. Super eager to hear your methods with great input and advice for improvement. Also, I found EVERYTHING I needed, plus a few impulse buys.

Awesome staff, super helpful and knowledgeable. The store is very clean and has everything you would EVER need to start growing plants in soil or hydro. Prices seem more than reasonable for everything I looked at in the store. I always expect to pay more at my local small business, but it was comparable to what I have spent at nurseries, big chain stores, and online.

The owner of this place is by far the most helpful and enthusiastic person I have meet in the gardening space. He is super helpful and happy to answer all of your questions without pushy sales. He's happy to walk you through the process and gives you a variety of options to choose from. Totally recommend this place!
